About the Job

Technology Help Desk

In this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing

requirements, solving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the Community Day School Technology Director.

The primary function of our Technology Help Desk is to support end-users and provide a high level of customer service/care regarding their technology needs. This can include troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, providing end-user training and instruction, or helping to plan for future expansion and needs.


  • Respond in a timely manner to requests from employees seeking help with computer software or hardware related issues

  • Maintain a high level of communication and documentation about issues

  • Perform regular maintenance on all school hardware/software as needed

  • Document internal procedures

  • Assist with integration of new users

  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses

  • Maintain shared office equipment

  • Maintain familiarity with various technology platforms as needed for support

  • Resolve technical problems with other school technology (LAN, WAN, servers, etc)

  • Maintain a high level of courteous customer service at all times

  • Assist the Technology Director with other projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications, or related field

  • 2 years of relevant technical experience

  • Team player

  • Self-motivated

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Successful completion of required criminal and background checks and submission of proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
