The GIS Analyst I is responsible for supporting Engineering and Construction (E and C) projects and Operations and Maintenance (O and M). Tasks will include, but not limited to, map making, modifying enterprise data sets within SDE, QA/QC of GIS data against standards, reporting, and loading as:built data sets.
This particular position will have an enterprise focus with responsibility related to E and C with emphasis on GIS services and custom products. Candidate must be highly motivated and have the ability to deal with stressful situations on a daily basis and be willing to adapt to ever changing requests.
Responsibilities:
:Ability to work in a high demand regional headquarters support role
:Prepare, load and maintain metadata for enterprise GIS data 0:45
:Act as point of contact for internal customers on GIS related issues
:Database creation and manipulation
:Cartographic Design
:Use spatial analysis techniques to feed reports or identify errors
:Use ESRI products to create, verify, re:project and modify vector and raster data
:Data Transformation
:Ability to learn new technical skills and apply them with guidance and direction from others
Qualifications
Required
:Bachelor's degree in GIS, Cartography, Geography, Earth Sciences, GeologyEnvironmental Science or related degree
:Thorough knowledge and ability in the use of ArcGIS
:Good understanding of coordinate projection systems and re:projection methods
:Good understanding with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and other administrative applications
:Strong communication and interpersonal skills
:Strong team skills complemented with a strong work ethic
:Willingness to travel up to 25
Preferred
:Knowledge of Land Surveying techniques
:Experience working for an oil and gas, pipeline or midstream owner / operating company
:(FME) Feature Manipulation Engine software
:Mobile applications and devices
:Experience with remote sensing data sets (LiDAR, aerial imagery, etc.)
:Knowledge of Google Earth
