Full:time non:tenure stream positions require an earned doctorate; part:time non:tenure stream positions require a MSN degree (doctorate preferred). PhD in nursing or relevant discipline required for tenure stream positions. Applicants must possess evidence of a program of scholarship or clinical skills in an area of nursing specialization. Positions are available as follows: UPMC Health System Chair in Nursing Science: The candidate for this full:time tenured position should be an outstanding nurse scientist with a program of research that has direct application to nursing practice and is recognized by experts as having made significant contributions to the discipline of nursing. Responsibilities include maintaining an active program of research directly related to the practice of nursing, providing direction to patient care, and providing mentorship to faculty and doctoral students whose research is consistent with this overall direction. Qualifications for this tenured appointment include an earned doctorate in nursing or related field, evidence of sustained scholarly productivity, evidence of excellence as a teacher, and expertise recognized at the national / international level. The focus of this position is to add to the knowledge base of the discipline of nursing for the purposes of improving health, decreasing disability and aiding recovery from illness and trauma. Nursing Informatics Faculty: Full:time tenure stream faculty position available for a nurse scholar who will assume responsibility in the Nursing Informatics concentration. Qualifications include a PhD in nursing or a related field and a focused program of research in informatics. Nurse Practitioners: Full:time tenure and non:tenure stream positions available in our highly ranked nurse practitioner major. Individuals must be licensed or eligible for licensure in PA as an RN and CRNP. Research Assistant Professor: This full:time non:tenure stream position is available for a candidate with a currently funded career development award (e.g., NIH K series) that will transfer to the University of Pittsburgh upon hiring. The sponsored award will support a minimum of 75 of the applicantA?s salary support. Unfunded effort may be devoted to teaching, research and service activities. Obstetrical Nursing Full:time non:tenure stream position available for clinical teaching in obstetrical nursing. Qualifications include an earned doctorate and RN licensure in PA Faculty: Several full:time tenure stream positions are available for faculty with a variety of research interests. Also available are non:tenure stream positions, full: and part:time, in the following specialties: anesthesia, community health, gerontological, psychiatric, pediatric and medical:surgical nursing.
