Your Challenge Responsible for configuration management and software release of externally facing critical 24x7 "Software as a Service" systems. Specific responsibilities will include some elements of each of the following: - Support of the Product Delivery process, including both quality and production releases of critical externally facing products as well as staging and preparing testing and quality assurance environments. - Maintaining appropriate and required compliance and regulatory requirements, involving key process controls and documentation. - Oversee automation development for continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies within a fast paced, agile development framework. - Ability to manage effectively within a highly diverse and cross-functional team. - Develop and improve the processes needed to successfully balance requirements from multiple product owners who depend on your team - On-call and evening/overnight and weekend work is required for support off hour releases and production operations. - Demonstrating excellent technology leadership and decision-making. Your Team The Deployment Operations Group is responsible for the delivery, support and maintenance of CM, CI/CD automation supporting externally facing software based service offerings. Primary areas of focus include management of Teamcity/Team Foundation Server build and deployment mechanisms supporting multiple enterprise platforms. Candidate will manage deployment activity in both public and private cloud environments supported by both traditional and DevOps organizations. The Pittsburgh based team supports deployments to Philip’s owned datacenters in North America, Tokyo and Paris as well as supporting our new AWS based software product. We are looking for Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or software related program from an accredited university is required. A Master’s Degree in any of the programs above is a plus. 7-10 years of work experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess elements of the following technical disciplines: · Automated build platform/continuous integration experience and knowledge · Thorough understanding configuration management. · Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, web servers and databases. · Understanding of Amazon AWS service offerings · Experience running software as a service in a 24x7 production environment · Understanding of networking in both EC2 and ground based data centers · Passionate about automation. · Demonstrated ability to work with rapidly changing development priorities while insuring performance and availability of test/production systems. · Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, security and best practices · Ability to work in a "matrix" environment including the use of external partners for service delivery.
