Manage the customer service strategies, and staff execution of the strategies, within the field Employee Benefits Sales and Service Office and its detached offices to develop flexible and expert employees. Function as a partner with the Employee Benefits Sales Manager in meeting office goals to ensure long:term profitability and growth of their block of business consistent with the goals of the division. Oversee the operation and expenses of the facility.Train staff on contract language, service, administration, compliance, systems and their updates through mini:seminars, one:on:ones and team meetings using home office developed training tools as appropriate; determine training needs for the staff; communicate with the Sales Training Team regarding training needs and effectiveness in order to establish priorities for the development of additional training tools. Cross train staff on major services to provide coverage in emergency situations. Audit and monitor individual and office results frequently and, in partnership with the Employee Benefits Sales Manager, redirect strategies as needed to meet financial objectives for profit and growth. Ensure the timely submission of documentation necessary for issue of accurate contract documents and producer appointments. Maintain profitability and growth objectives while directing the servicing of the officeA?s block of existing business to achieve overall customer satisfaction. Coordinate the preparation of renewal strategies and materials, and presentation of renewals to producers and/or policyholders. Promote the sale of additional lines of coverage and plan improvements to existing customers. Provide for excellent and timely service to policyholders, producers, home office personnel, staff and other external and internal customers. Review, negotiate and resolve complex service issues escalated by staff and other internal and external customers. Personally service assigned large, complex, sensitive or prestigious accounts for the office. Administer operation of facility, including leases, expense allocations, banking, local vendors, furniture, equipment, systems and office relocation. Monitor office budget results and readdress expense allocations if appropriate. Motivate staff in assessing customer needs in order to identify and implement customer:focused improvements to workflow, systems and procedures and process consistency; coordinate activities with other department and division stakeholders. Strategize with the Employee Benefits Manager on an office vision and the development of strategies and goals to achieve office financial targets. Foster effective relationships within the office, with assigned home office teams and with other internal and external customers. Other Duties as Assigned : Participate in various projects and initiatives. Perform other duties as required by Manager.Education: BachelorA?s degree in Business or related field. Experience: 3 years experience in supervision, preferably in the Employee Benefits field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Professional certification required: Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office territory and the state of New York.
