The Human Resources Representative is the business partner to the Industrial and WIDIA business segments of Kennametal Inc. This role has a focus on the Commercial team members and strategies of those business segments while operating in a HR Shared Services model supporting Employee and Manager Self Service. The HR Representative reports to the Industrial and WIDIA Commercial Human Resources Manager.
:The HR Representative is the business partner to the directors, managers and supervisors of the Industrial and WIDIA commercial groups.
:This role supports all day to day HR topics in these commercial business segments for approximately 500 employees; hiring, onboarding, advising/coaching management and supervisors in HR related topics, disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee relations.
:The HR Representative supports HR Management in talent management processes and change management and assures alignment to business strategies.
:Support and advise local management in all day to day HR topics. Ensure compliance with legal, statutory and KMT policies.
:Coach and train management on processes and tools related to recruiting, hiring, talent development, succession planning, performance management, performance improvement, etc.
:Support and execute onboarding, disciplinary actions, terminations.
:Apply consistent standardized KMT procedures.
:Supports continuous improvement.
:Help to build positive employee relations and atmosphere to a mainly remote workforce by driving Kennametal culture, values and behaviors.
:Work effectively with recruiting partners, legal, finance, HR, IT.
:4 year degree in discipline required, post:secondary degree preferred
:Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources
:Experience working within a shared services model is a plus
:Experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus
:Experience with a HRIS system is a plus
:Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
