We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our Human Resources Team located at our corporate headquarters in Jefferson Hills, PA. KJLC is a growing global manufacturer and distributor of vacuum technology and we are looking for an individual who will continue to innovate with our Human Resources team.
This Specialist position will manage all information in regards to payroll and benefits. This includes processing the full-cycle biweekly payroll and incentive programs in an accurate and timely manner. Maintaining and keeping up to date all employee benefit and payroll information in the Company’s Human Resource Management System (HRMS). File all payroll related taxes and returns. Process benefit bills, OSHA reporting, employee benefits and claims, and workers’ compensation documentation.

Key Job Elements:
Manage full cycle biweekly payroll for U.S. (multistate) and Canada, which includes system maintenance, payroll processing, taxes, financial reporting, etc.
Process incentive programs monthly
Troubleshoot problems relating to time and attendance
Maintain employee files in the HRMS
Maintain payroll, benefits, 401(k) files and documentation in accordance with Company retention policies
Manage the Flexible Spending plan including Company agreements, bills, bank statements, and the enrollment process
Administer 401(k) program and discrimination testing
Maintain accurate reporting with the government
Ensure compliance with payroll taxes and state laws, employee notifications, and reporting requirements
Prepare Health, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance bills
Process Disability and Life Insurance claims
Work with our brokers and/or benefit carriers to assist employees with resolving benefit or coverage problems
Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims
Maintain and prepare OHSA log and participate with the Safety Committee as needed
Provide reports to Vice Presidents and Managers regarding employee’s status (pay rate, title, vacation or sick time, etc.)
Provide information on FLSA and EEO as needed
Provide a monthly personnel report
Reconciliation of bank accounts for payroll and flex spending
Back up to the HR Specialist, HR Coordinator, and HR Manager

Job Requirements

Required

2-5 years of experience in payroll and human resources
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Ability to responsibly handle confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced excel skills
High attention to detail
Proven ability to work well in a team
Experience working with a HRMS
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years’ experience
Accounting or Finance background
Prior experience with ADP software and processing multi-state payroll
Prior experience with Dynamics AX or a Company ERP system
