Program SummaryCommander, Naval Recruiting Command (CNRC), Millington, TN requires support to augment personnel in recruiting fields across the 26 Naval Recruiting Districts and at CNRC Headquarters, enabling the Navy to effectively recruit at a level sufficient to meet increasingly challenging requirements. Job OverviewThe Personnel Assistant I shall provide general personnel support of the overall operational objectives of Navy Recruiting Command. Contractor personnel shall be able to use MS Office Applications and be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint applications. This Personnel Assistant shall perform daily activities at 26 Navy Recruiting Districts including: Assist with screening, reviewing and verifying the accuracy of applicant enlistment paperwork and update applicant enlistment documents using secure automated personnel data systems as needed.The contractor shall organize, collect, analyze, and present statistical information related to the tracking of applicants, goal attainment, and marketing analysis for both officer and enlisted programs.The contractor shall prepare reports for Program Managers and higher level personnel, describing problems that are recurring or causing significant delays or costs, the corrective actions taken, and the need for additional time or resources needed to meet recruiting objectives.The contractor shall obtain workload data and track progress in meeting objectives and use of resources via web:based Navy applications and other commercially available web:based programs.Assist in interviewing applicants to obtain basic screening information and processing applications for officer and enlisted programs using required automated online systems.Assist in processing applicants for departure to basic training using web:based computer systems by compiling and verifying accuracy of required documents, conducting interviews, and assisting with travel arrangements as needed.Assist in tracking and accounting for the custody of information technology equipment and the status of software and/or hardware. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This position performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, clerical and secretarial duties. The work is under general supervision of higher:level personnel in preparation of various human resource tasks throughout compensation, benefits, staffing/employment, EEO procedures and policy administration. The Personnel Assistant I is expected to exercise discretion at all times; limited judgment may be necessary at times. This assistant will be required to operate general office equipment such as: typewriter, personal computer, copier, adding machine, and facsimile.
