The Electrical Control Engineer provides technical support for the manufacturing and production process of Rapid Granulator equipment and systems. This role requires excellent managerial and engineering skills with a good electrical aptitude for accuracy and follow:up for system electrical and control design for the Rapid Granulator product line. This position reports to the System Engineering Manager and is located in or near the area of Coraoplis, Pennsylvania.
Duties and Responsibilities
Skills : responsibilities required of the Electrical Control Engineer position for Rapid Granulator includes:
a. Ability to develop relay and motor control circuit diagram and BOM requirements for custom control designs based on customer specification.
b. Shall be responsible for maintenance and back:up of all product engineering documentation and drawings.
c. Shall be responsible to assure CAD system is suitable to produce designs in a timely manner.
d. Shall support Sales department with cost evaluation for custom design requirements including
material and labor.
e. Shall develop all necessary support documentation and details for custom designed Rapid Granulator products including follow:up on equipment assembly progress through Production on custom designs previously released.
f. Demonstrate valuable communication skills in the customer sales cycle.
g. Shall have working knowledge of UL and NFPA standards as relates to industrial control systems.
h. Control design is primarily with relay logic but experience with PLC systems beneficial
Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify conformance to customer specifications. Lead assembly staff in qualifying equipment to RGI standards.
Experience in 2D and 3D Cad systems for product design and plant floor layout.
Computer Skills
Previous experience in sales order related computer data entry on an ERP system : SAP system preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management and inquiry processes for BOM input within an ERP system, Jeeves or SAP preferred.
3D modeling CAD system such as SolidWorks or Solid Edge. Solid Edge preferred.
Electrical Control experience with system design in software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN P8. EPLAN P8 preferred.
Extensive work experience and training in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
Customer Service and Sales
Maintain effective customer relations as required with internal and external Sales Support staff
Demonstrate a level of electrical aptitude to relate to customer inquiry about Rapid standard products and provide timely feedback on design requirements for custom machine order details.
Provide guidance to Sales staff during equipment review about cost effective alternatives available for customization of Rapid Granulator systems.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills as related to customer and sales staff needs, inquiries and questions.
Provide assistance to Sales department on technical issues related to customer applications as needed.
Verbally report progress and problems to the System Engineering Manager in a professional manner
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Be a positive team member with a good honest work ethic
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Work Experience
BSEE or related Engineering degree required;
