Hatch is seeking motivated and talented ElectricalEngineers with the desire for a challenging career in the engineering consulting field. This challenging position involves working as part of a highly:specialized team focused on projects for local and federal government facilities includingshipping ports, rapid transit, communications infrastructure, sophisticatedsurveillance, and water/wastewater facilities, aswell as privately owned facilities including administration buildings, maintenance and repair facilities, and industrial infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity forgraduate engineers in training to acquire knowledge in power distribution systems, instrumentation an controls, switchgear, stand:by power systems, load and fault current calculations, power flow and shortcircuit analysis, SCADA and telemetry, lighting systems, and NEC code compliance.
Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer in preparing engineering calculations such as load flow analysis and short circuit analysis.
Prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement and construction contracts, and write reports for power system studies such as arc flash analysis, protective device coordination, and transient stability studies.
Assist and participate in on:site commissioning activities on large capital industrial projects.
A recent or soon to be graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Aptitude for working on multi:disciplinary teams.
Commitment to achieving engineering excellence.
Ability technical knowledge to various practical problems.
A desire to learn and continually develop.
Strong personal commitment to safety.
Co:op or Summer Student experience an asset.
