Purpose of the Position – Why does the Position exist and what is it designed to accomplish?
To monitor the site through manual observation and use of on-site cameras, and to assist in maintaining the site grounds care program. Responsible for greeting visitors, assigning the proper security badge to each visitor, inspection of incoming and outgoing vehicles, receiving and relaying emergency calls related to the site, and completion of daily/weekly/monthly checks.

Knowledge and Experience – What educational background, skills, training, certifications, and/or a combination of education and experience are needed to perform the Position?

• High school Diploma/GED
• Two (2) years experience in the security field (or)
• Certificate indicating completion of a security course
• Strong communication skills
• Proven history of working well in stressful situations, preferred

Principal Responsibilities – Four to eight brief statements indicating what is done (Action), how it is done (Method or Means) and why (End Result). (Use additional sheet of paper if necessary.)

• Follow all site Safety and Envinromental SOPs and programs
• Completion of walking tours of the site to monitor security of the site to report any unusual events.
• Inspection of incoming and outgoing vehicles to the site.
• Check in and check out all visitors to the site
• Perform weekly and monthly inspections of site fire sprinkler and fire extinguisher program.
• Perform daily fugitive emissions checks
• Complete notifications to shipping/receiving for arriving and departing shipments.
• Sites grounds care program (cutting grass and trimming)
• Sites snow/ice removal program (includes plowing and salting)
• Complete all site security paperwork
• Notify the Emergency Coordinator of spills/fires/releases
• Other duties, as assigned.
