Automatic Textile Screen Printing Press Operator The Screen Printer is primarily responsible for setting up jobs, pre-production print inspection, running orders and overall quality. Prior experience is preferred, but we will train suitable candidates. This is a full-time daylight position. Pay is commensurate with experience and/or the skill set of the applicant. Responsibilities: 1. Ensure proper press set-up, registration, color and print quality. 2. Verify pre-production print sample accurately meets specifications of written work order. 3. Maintain optimal production rate and make necessary press adjustments with minor downtime. 4. Set proper dryer temperature and speed specific to type of ink and garment material. 5. Meet deadlines and quotas consistently with minimal misprints. 6. Breakdown jobs efficiently with quick turnaround. 7. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Requirements: 1. Ability to stand for an extended period time while reaching repetitively with hands and arms. 2. Ability to work safely with moving machinery as well as industry related chemicals. 3. Good vision with the ability to discern color. 4. Solid verbal and written skills with the capacity to communicate clearly. 5. Basic math skills. 6. Must be punctual and reliable. 7. Ability to work overtime as needed. Skills & Characteristics: 1. Capable of working as a team member as well as an independent self-starter. 2. Able to apply common sense and strategic thinking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 3. Detailed oriented with a high standard of quality. 4. Possesses accountability and self-pride.
