Role Summary/Purpose
HUB Parking Technologies is looking for a Software Test Engineer to perform manual and automated testing for our new mobile parking product. We are a company who develops products for managing large:scale parking configurations such as airports and malls, and smaller parking configurations such as small garages and lots. We write the software that integrates various hardware components to provide the systems you may have used.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

:Be the first tester hired for this new product line, and responsible for establishing testing strategy and authoring test cases.
:Work with development (may be local or off:site) in understanding development automation and how to augment that with automated functional testing.
:Perform manual testing of the mobile application, supporting website, and back:end processes.
:Leverage off:the:shelf tools to create mobile, website and server automated test scripts which augment the manual testing and existing developer:driven automation.
:Use JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint and other tools to provide visibility and manage your work.
:Enter clear, accurate defects into our defect tracking tool (JIRA).
:Review requirements for completeness, unambiguity and clarity.


:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related experience
:2 years experience testing web applications
:2 years experience testing commercial mobile applications (Apple and IOS)
:2 years experience testing services
:Experience with Selenium or other automated web testing software
:Experience with white box as well as black box testing
:Experience with load testing, stress testing and regression testing
:Excellent written and oral communication skills
:Demonstrated passion for learning and continuous improvement
:Competency with a scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Ruby etc.)
:Ability to travel a few times a year to visit customer sites and other learning opportunities.


:Experience with JIRA and Confluence
:3 years testing hardware:systems
:Experience configuring and using virtual machines
:Experience working with off:site development
