Project Overview:
Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world:scale facility that will use ethane to produce 1.6 million tonnes of polyethylene per year. The project will involve up to 6,000 workers during its construction and is expected to employ 600 permanent employees when completed. The ethylene / polyethylene complex will be located in the Ohio River Valley north of Pittsburgh. It comprises an ethane cracker and three polyethylene units, plus OSBL including a gas:fired combined cycle cogeneration unit and a large storage:in:transit rail yard.
Role Overview:
Manage all site cranes per processes and procedure requirements in regards to safe usage, site relocation, assembly/disassembly of telescopic RT:AT and lattice boom crawler cranes, safe rig up and safe raising:lowering of long boom cranes, proper set up, proper usage and site ground bearing conditions regarding build out of earth and timber crane pads.
Provide and dispatch site qualified crane operators to all site cranes.
Manage site COEs (crane operator examiners) and crane operator qualification program including crane operator certifications, state licenses and medical certificates verifications.
Provide daily direction to crane operations General Foremans and Foremans in regards to safe crane operations and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Certified Crane Operator, experienced as A/D director for all types of mobile cranes
Ability to read and interpret crane manufactures operators manual and load charts
Experienced in safe use and inspection of rigging hardware
Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule in regards to crane operations
Monitor and track utilization of all site cranes
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified rigger/signal person. NCCCO, NCCCER or equivalent
Certified crane operator, NCCCO, NCCER or equivalent
Certified OSHA crane inspector
