PCTV21 Broadcast Flash Mob is a new event aimed at supporting free speech, non-profits, and small business, all while having a fun night out. Instead of singing, dancing or rioting, the Broadcast Flash Mobs assemble to make a statement about their cause on television.
The first Broadcast Flash Mob will assemble at PCTV21 Television Studio on the North Shore to speak their minds. In the tradition of London’s historic Speakers Corner, participants will take to the airways live with their political opinions, poems, comedy and general rants. Speakers will be given 5-10 minutes on camera to raise awareness of their opinions or cause.
Thursday, September 27 2012 has been designated PCTV21 Broadcast Flash Mob night. Attendees can arrive at PCTV21 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the PCTV21 studio at 1300 Western Avenue on the North Side. Each PCTV21 Broadcast Flash Mob participant will be given five minutes to draw attention to their cause via a live television broadcast to the city of Pittsburgh. Each PCTV21 Broadcast Flash Mob event will be rebroadcast four times and made available on the web.
So, all you potential Broadcast Flash Mobs get your talk down because the world can’t wait to hear your point of view. Ordinary people all coming together, all saying a little but, as a group, saying a lot.
