Films on peace and war will be presented at Calvary Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 22, from 7-10 p.m. This free event is part of the UN International Peace Day events.

Two Pittsburgh filmmakers will be featured, Barbra Labbie (Corner Voices) and Ralph Vituccio (In Service–From Baghdad to Pittsburgh). Corner Voices is a short film about the weekly peace vigil at Forbes and Braddock Avenues (see photo from the film). In Service features Iraqi war veterans from Western PA. Also shown will be highlights from The People Speak, which features dramatic readings by noted actors in a film inspired by Howard Zinn's book A People's History of the United States.

A panel discussion, moderated by Tom Slater, will follow the screening.
