VOCALISTS & MUSICIANS needed: www.gigpgh.com
We are always accepting submissions for Male & Female vocalists and musicians (including Guitarists, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Drums, etc...) for ESTABLISHED party/wedding type bands that have WORK, primarily Saturdays but some Fridays and occasional other days as well. Vocalists need to be willing to sing anything from Standards to Motown to Disco to 80's 90's and CURRENT music - These are bands that wear Tuxedos and play for Weddings and Parties. You must be willing to share the lead singing with other vocalists and while EXPERIENCE is preferred, it is not absolutely necessary if you are really GOOD!! - We also have seen some situations where bands need people to sing backup vocals into which where a good singer without the pressure of signing lead could fit in We have seen occasional positions for presentable looking equipment handlers (roadies) as well. Gig Pittsburgh is the service we use for preliminary submissions, as when we post we get a lot of people who are trying to book their own bands or are not serious. WE ARE SERIOUS and will meet with and audition serious and qualified people - SOON!! Please visit www.gigpgh.com to learn more and to submit your information!! THANKS!! FUTURE Grammy STARS Produced by OCTANE-Records-Music.com!
SEATTLE, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Hear the difference at Octane Records with signed Recording Artists that now include the following New Artists: Aziel, Jailbird, HUD, Heath, Mr. Rakafela, Maggot Brain, and Octane featuring Shock G, Humpty Hump (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/rakaoctane1), and Snoop Dogg (http://www.rogueisland.com). Produced By Brent DeRocher for Octane Records. Most people will never forget Aziel for his chart-topping hit "Fall In Love Again." The day it hit KCCN FM 100, Hawaii's premier radio station, it immediately made its way onto the daily "Top 5 at 5," becoming the number-one most requested song for six weeks. Another hit followed - a remake of Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon In The Sky." Listeners couldn't get enough of Aziel's silky R&B voice. Aziel is currently seeking full radio rotation on all mainstream USA radio stations for his album "Take You Away" that features music-writing and production by multi-platinum legendary songwriter LeRoy Martez Bell, and music writer Linton Weems. With several hit songs and "GROUNDBREAKING" industry sound, this project commands a space within the R&B community. Aziel Toeaina, born January 1, 1978 in San Francisco, California, is a musical genius who can switch from his R&B delivery to Hip Hop and Rap, unlike many artists on the market today. Aziel's critics say he may be as good as Usher and Justin Timberlake. Aziel also plans on being a Grammy Nominee and a Grammy Winner in the very near future. Jailbird, born Jeffrey Sayer in 1978 in Olympia, Washington, is destined to be a rap superstar; the kind of superstar that understands a good hook, strong songwriting and the importance of a great performance. Jailbird's critics say he may be as good as Eminem. Jailbird is a Rap Artist that plans on being a Grammy Nominee. HUD was born Anthony Hudson in Memphis, Tennessee in April of 1971. A Rap Artist who loves performing, HUD began entertaining in early 1986 at talent shows. His mother, who fell upon hard times while HUD was young, was a former background singer for the likes of B. B. King and other popular Memphis recording artists and is credited for introducing HUD to the profession of music. Mr. Rakafela, born Alvin E. Kirton III in Oakland, California in July of 1973, was highly influenced in the early 1990s by the success of Tupac Shakur and Shock G from Digital Underground. Being deeply rooted in Tupac and Digital's cliques, Mr. Rakafela developed a Funk/Hip Hop mix which he displays in his latest masterpiece, "Tale of a New Legend" featuring Shock G, Humpty Hump, and Jailbird. Think the 5 man acoustical jam from Tesla. I am looking to start a 4 or 5 piece acoustical group. Positions will be : lead guitar, rhythm guitar(2), bass, possible a second lead to make 5 people. Everyone must be able to carry a tune singing. One of us needs to be the lead singer. Sure as &^%$* won't be me. A bit about me. I graduated from WVU in the school of music in '95. I am a drummer by trade, but love the guitar as well. I see this group being one of those groups that practice once a week and just enjoy life and gigs. The music i hear is playing is rock and pop... covers.... and maybe some original arrangements of covers....originals will be secondary to the cover tunes. I have a ton of opportunities for a group like this to gig... from bars and clubs to regional events and private shows. If any of this sounds interesting to you, give me a shout at roby@rtlstudios.com.
Hope to hear from you soon, Rob • Location: South Hills
