Male & Female Vocalists & Musicians Needed - Working bands!

VOCALISTS & MUSICIANS needed: www.gigpgh.com

We are always accepting submissions for Male & Female vocalists and musicians (including Guitarists, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Drums, etc...) for ESTABLISHED party/wedding type bands that have WORK, primarily Saturdays but some Fridays and occasional other days as well.

Vocalists need to be willing to sing anything from Standards to Motown to Disco to 80's 90's and CURRENT music -

These are bands that wear Tuxedos and play for Weddings and Parties.

You must be willing to share the lead singing with other vocalists and while EXPERIENCE is preferred, it is not absolutely necessary if you are really GOOD!! - We also have seen some situations where bands need people to sing backup vocals into which where a good singer without the pressure of signing lead could fit in

We have seen occasional positions for presentable looking equipment handlers (roadies) as well.

Gig Pittsburgh is the service we use for preliminary submissions, as when we post we get a lot of people who are trying to book their own bands or are not serious. WE ARE SERIOUS and will meet with and audition serious and qualified people - SOON!!

Please visit www.gigpgh.com to learn more and to submit your information!! THANKS!!

Guitarist Seeks Working Band

I'm looking for a working band - or one close to working - in need of a lead guitarist with vocal ability. Style of music is wide open. I am primarily a rock guitarist, but I include blues, jazz, country, as well as some slide, in my playing. Vocally I'm a baritone/tenor leaning towards tenor. I can definitely do backup vocals; I will do lead vocals, if needed. I have the necessary "pro quality" gear. I have a good work ethic. I am passionate about music.

I'm willing to practice as often as you want, and to play out as often as you want. I have a day job which does restricts me to weekends for out-of-town gigs.

If this sounds interesting, I look forward to hearing from you.

Do you write but not sing? Male vocalist available…

You’re a very good songwriter, maybe you’re brilliant. But there’s just one thing: you don’t have the greatest singing voice. Maybe pretty good – just not good enough to really sell the GREAT song you’ve just written.

I am a male demo vocalist with many styles under my belt: Rock, Country, Alternative, Metal, R&B, Standards, surf music…you name it.

I will put that finishing touch on your next song, including just the right vocal arrangement.

I have the ability to record at home and send you the files. Payments can be made by money order or through Paypal if it’s needed.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/jonstathammusic for samples of my work.

Feel free to call as well: (310) 882-1967 Jon
Thank you.

Mature Female Vocalist

I am a 29 year old female vocalist with both stage and recording experience. I natuarally move towards methodic and moodier music but want to front a project that is both enjoyable for the band and it’s audience. I am looking to perform live as well as record and create something with a group of dedicated individuals who are as passionate as I am. I can have a fun time but am not looking for drinking partners, romantic relationships, or drama. I am not particular about age but am looking to play out so over 21 please. I don’t mind stepping into an already formed band or peicing one together. I work full-time and am also a student. I am into indie, underground, heavy, and acoustic depending on the project and have no qualm with being completely inventive with sound. No cover bands. I have a style of my own and can adapt to what others create as well. I live in the North Hills (north of PGH) and work and take classes downtown. If any of this piques you or your band’s interest please contact me.

Looking for an Open Minded Bass Player

Remember when music used to be about making music? So do we. We are putting a band together that will hopefully cross genres between metal/goth/indie/atmospheric...whatever.

Must be willing to get together at least once or twice a week.
age 21 to 40ish
It is important to have a wide range of influences. I don't mean "everything from Rush to Skynyrd". Literally a 'wide range' of influences...like everything from Radiohead to Testament or J.S. Bach to Neil Young. In other words, please be able to play well and utilize most of the strings and frets on the bass.

Please be for real and motivated to work as a team to create some great music.

we've got some short audio clips of some jams we did off the cuff here:
http://www.myspace.com/herdpoison
the name is just a user name. we haven't actually fully agreed on the name for the band yet
the bass line on these clips were overdubbed later on by the guitarist.

full 16 channel recording capabilities. Nice space to practice. Cubase 5. Mac Pro. PA, amps, drums, keys...ready to go...we just need YOU.

Vintage Akai AX-80 for sale

Well, it's time to get rid of on of my vintage synths.

Why? Smaller house, and the fact I've recently purchased a Yamaha KX8 controller and I'm starting to use rack mount units and PC's instead.

The unit is in fair condition, tonally it is great. The one issue it has is the fact that the membrane buttons do not work until the unit warms up for about 5 minutes - after that, no major issues. The keyboard itself works fine, the displays are good also, and the unit is fairly clean. Due to this I am accepting offers on the unit - best offer taken.

I am near the Pittsburgh area, so pickup is preferred, or possible delivery negotiable.

Payment is accepted in cash, possibly PayPal is necessary.

I have owned this unit for the last 12 years, it is one of my favorites ... but time to move on.

The following link gives you details on the unit, plus values (which I am more than willing to go under):

40GB Sample Library on 250GB External Hard Drive - $400 OBO

posted: October 12, 2009, 09:46 AM

I'm selling my 40GB sample library along with the 250GB Western Digital portable external hard drive that the samples are on. These are all of the sample libraries that I have collected over the past few years doing work in various studios, but now, due to a change in career, I no longer have use for them. All of the samples are in WAV and/or Native Instruments Kontakt or Battery format. I'm asking for $400 OBO, as I probably spent well over $1500 for all of these. Here's the list of libraries included: Battery 3 (with Synthetic Drums 1 & 2), Cult Club Synths, Drumatic Percussives, Drums Overkill, EZ Rollers, Firestorm, Kontakt 2, Piano Attack, Puremagnetik Punchpak, Soundclash, Stradivari 1.06, and a random collection of various samples including: bass, brass, choir, ethnic instruments, FX sounds, keys, piano, stabs & hits, strings, vox, drum rolls/fills/breaks, guitars, synths, and various sound snippets. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Bassist Wanted for dedicated band

Replyjfeil04@yahoo.com

We are a guitarist/singer and a solid expressive drummer from the south hills of pittsburgh. We need a talented bassist to complete a rock trio. We are dedicated musicians who take our music very seriously (but not too seriously). This means that we are looking to learn covers, write originals, and eventually write an album, promote and tour. Music is our life. So come laugh with us as we jam and begin to work on the arrangements of new songs and covers. If its fun and exciting then we are up for it. However, we need to be clear about a couple of things. We don't want any big egos or people who are more interested in drugs/drinking/pussy/whatever else... than MUSIC. We are here to serve the music and make an earnest attempt at doing this because it is our passion and hopefully one day our career. Our music has been accurately pigholed as "progressive" rock but we are open to all styles. We believe that true progressive rock implies the word in itself --progress... It is the "style" of nothing in particular. Just some guys venting their frustrations and fantasies in a dark basement that is a shelter from the world. So anyways if your a creative dedicated bassist... lemme know, you just might be the right guy for us... imagine that! so maybe we can jam or perhaps focus on a few covers. Thank you.
